You'll see the following warning message in H&R Block’s 2018 tax software if you entered tuition fees on the TL11A/TL11B/TL11C page:
Were the tuition fees you entered on the TL11A/TL11B/TL11C page from a TL11A slip you received? If they are, you need to make sure these fees are eligible for the tuition credit. The fees on your TL11A slip are eligible if the course you took was at least 3 weeks long and led to a degree. You must also have been enrolled full-time. If you don’t meet these conditions, you’ll need to remove the amount you entered. If the tuition fees you entered were from a TL11B or TL11C slip, you can ignore this warning. [warning]
How do I fix this?
If the tuition fee you entered was from a TL11A slip, make sure this fee is eligible for the tuition tax credit. If this fee is not eligible for the tuition tax credit, you’ll need to remove the TL11A slip from your return. To do this, navigate to the QUICK SLIP page under the QUICK ENTRY tab. Then, click the Delete link next to TL11A/B/C.
If your tuition fee is eligible for the tuition tax credit or if the amount you entered was from a TL11B or TL11C slip, ignore this warning message.
